Education

The GRyS group integrates research and education through an active, hands-on approach that brings real scientific results, open technologies, and practical innovation into the classroom and into student-led work.
This section showcases how our research activity contributes to academic training at all levels—PhD, Master, and Bachelor—and how students can engage with the group through supervised theses and course participation.

Thesis Supervision

Supervising student research is a key part of our academic mission. Over the years, GRyS members have guided numerous Bachelor, Master, and PhD theses covering a wide range of topics, including autonomous systems, robotics, cybersecurity, computer vision, intelligent systems, natural-language interaction, HRI, data-driven control, and many more.

Our supervision approach emphasizes:

  • Direct involvement in real research projects
  • Open and reproducible methodologies
  • Development of both scientific and engineering skills
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration

You can explore our supervised theses by academic level:

Students interested in carrying out their thesis with the group are welcome to explore previous works and reach out to any GRyS member for opportunities.

Teaching

Members of the GRyS research group actively participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching across several degrees at the Universitat de Lleida. We incorporate research-driven content, open tools, real datasets, and experimental platforms—such as the OpenTech Lab—into course activities whenever possible.

The Teaching section provides:

  • A list of subjects taught by GRyS members
  • Short descriptions of course content and competencies
  • Examples of how research outputs enrich the learning process
  • Links to publicly available material when applicable

Together, these activities reflect our mission to create a dynamic environment where research, innovation, and education reinforce one another, preparing students to contribute meaningfully to the development of intelligent and autonomous systems.
