César García-Moreno
César García Moreno completed his Double Degree in Communication Electronics and Telematics at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) in 2024.
He joined the Next-Generation Networks and Services (GRyS) research group as an intern, where his responsibilities include contributing to the development of GRyS’ web pages and exploring the feasibility of implementing a LoRa network for precision agriculture applications.
César was recognized for his outstanding academic work as part of the Best Final Year Projects (TFG) of 2024 awarded by the Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Técnicos de Telecomunicación (COITT), in its XVIII edition of the Premios Futuro de las Telecomunicaciones.
In a historic first for the COITT, he received first place in two different categories in the same year—an unprecedented achievement reflecting the innovation and impact of his work.
The awarded projects focused on cutting-edge fields:
- Communication and processing system for obtaining horizon elevation
- Design and development of a three-axis stabilized pointing system based on microprocessors for obtaining self-leveled and magnetically oriented images
