Gregorio Rubio-Cifuentes
Gregorio Rubio Cifuentes holds a Technical Telecommunication Engineering degree from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) (1988) and a Degree in Documentation from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (2008).
He served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Telematic Engineering and Electronics (DTE) at UPM until his retirement in January 2025.
A dedicated member of the Next-Generation Networks and Services (GRyS) research group since 2009, Gregorio focused his work on semantics and ontologies for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), service management, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Throughout his academic career, he contributed to several European research projects such as DiYSE and ACCUS, and collaborated in the management and coordination of major initiatives like DEMETER and AFarCloud.
