Prof. José-Fernán Martínez-Ortega

José-Fernán Martínez is a Full Professor at the Department of Telematic Engineering and Electronics (DTE), Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), where he earned his Ph.D. in Telematic Engineering in 2001.

His research focuses on ubiquitous computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), cyber-physical systems (CPS), and resilient distributed architectures for next-generation telematic networks and services.

He has led and participated in numerous international projects — including DEMETER, AFarCloud, SWARMs, and e-GOTHAM — and serves as a reviewer and committee member in several scientific communities.

He is also a guest professor at Mälardalen University (Sweden) and has been an invited research expert at the Beijing Institute of Technology (China).
